How much money your inbox is losing
Messages come in, but the reply takes too long, and by then the interested person has bought somewhere else. Enter the four numbers below and see what that delay costs you each month.
Replying after 4 hours on average, instead of within 5 minutes, costs you:
In other words, about 66% of the people who showed interest slip away only because of the delay, with nothing wrong with your product or price.
Where the number comes from
The maths rests on an assumption, and we're not hiding it: the longer the delay, the lower the chance of winning back someone who was interested. We assume a reply within 5 minutes = 100%, within 1 hour ≈ 55%, 6 hours ≈ 27%, 24 hours ≈ 12%.
This isn't measured data from your business. It's a model. But the direction isn't in doubt: if an 11 pm question gets its answer at 9 am, the person has usually bought somewhere else by then.
Find your own real number: Meta Business Suite → Inbox → last 30 days. Count how many people messaged you, how many of them got a reply within 10 minutes, and how many conversations went quiet after your reply. That last number is your real loss.
The cheapest way to cut the delay is to automate the first reply: a bot answers the questions everyone asks, like price, delivery and payment, and sends the hard ones to you. We do the whole setup.
