Post a brief
Describe the work, pick a category, set a budget in Bangladeshi taka and a deadline. You can start without an account: we verify your email with a code before the brief is submitted, or you can sign in with Google.

We review it
A person on our team reads every brief before it goes live, so freelancers see clear, workable requests.

Freelancers send quotes
Approved freelancers send a price, a delivery time and a proposal. They stay anonymous until you accept one, and you are shown the brief's quotes, not the freelancer's contact details. Quotes stay open for up to 30 days.

Accept a quote and settle the invoice
Accepting creates an order and an invoice. Pay by bank transfer or Payoneer; card payments are coming. Work starts, and the freelancer's identity is shown to you, once the payment is confirmed.

Delivery and approval
The work is delivered in an order room where messages and files stay on the platform. Ask for a revision, or approve it. It is released to the freelancer only after you approve the delivery, or 7 days after delivery if you do not respond.

Money and protection
The money is held
pretendmind holds what you pay against the invoice. It is released to the freelancer only after you approve the delivery, or 7 days after delivery if you do not respond.
Revisions and disputes
Ask for a revision from the order page. If that does not settle it, open a dispute there. Our team reads both sides and decides.
Refunds
An approved refund is returned by hand to the account you paid from. Allow a few working days.
Before you start
- Every freelancer who can quote has been approved by our team and has at least one approved service listing.
- Budgets and quotes are in Bangladeshi taka (BDT). Invoices are settled by bank transfer or Payoneer; card payments are coming.
- Bidders stay anonymous until you accept a quote and the invoice is paid; contact details are not exchanged before then.
- Messages and delivery files stay on the platform, so a dispute has a record to go on.
- Times shown on the site are Dhaka time (UTC+6). Our team is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
- pretendmind is a young marketplace: quotes can take a few days to arrive, and proposals may be written in Bengali or English.
Questions clients ask
Do I need an account to post a brief?
Not to start. You write the brief first; we then verify your email with a six-digit code and create the account at that point. Google sign-in works too. Outside Bangladesh, use an email address: SMS codes only reach Bangladeshi numbers.
How do I pay?
By invoice. When you accept a quote you receive an invoice by email with bank transfer and Payoneer details. The order is confirmed as soon as the payment arrives. Card payments are not available yet.
What currency are prices in?
Bangladeshi taka (BDT). Your budget and every quote are in taka; your bank or Payoneer converts at their rate when you pay.
Can I talk to a freelancer before accepting?
Freelancers can ask questions on your project page while quotes are open, and your answer is shown to all of them. Direct messages open in the order room once you accept a quote and the invoice is paid.
What if the work is not what I asked for?
Ask for a revision from the order page. If that does not resolve it, open a dispute there: our team reads both sides, with the messages and files on record, and decides on a refund, a partial resolution or acceptance. An approved refund is returned by hand to the account you paid from.

You pay by invoice, and the work becomes yours once the order is paid in full and delivered. Where the site shows an AI translation, the original wording is what counts.
